A list of things to be grateful for about your body:

1. Your ears - make sure you don’t just hear what people have to say but, that you listen to them too. Listen carefully to that song you always play but never pay attention to, listen to your friends when they need to share something with you, listen to the stories of those around you and learn from them. You’ll be thankful you did later.

2. Your eyes - recognise the beauty around you: in your best friend’s smile, in the way the sky can change colour within a minute, in kind acts of love. The most beautiful things are the ones you notice after a while, the faces and actions and surroundings you would have got tired of seeing but never really saw as beautiful.

3. Your mouth - your words could change someone’s day, or their life. Make sure to use that power carefully. Don’t waste it.

4. Your hands and arms - with a simple gesture (a simple hug) you are capable of showing love and affection to those around you. Make sure you let those people you love know that you do so often.

5. Your feet - they can take you on adventures you’ll want to tell your kids about someday. Take the risk and walk the extra mile. No great stories were ever made by staying in and being afraid.

6. Your mind - for all the thoughts you think but never utter; the ideas that could change the world; the daydreams you have when everybody else around you is too busy rushing about to stop for a second; the feelings you carry that you wish you could find the words for. Look down at your hands and legs. Touch your ears and eyes and mouth. Recognise the extent of your capabilities. You are an incredible human being, there’s a reason you’re not some wild animal. You are capable of great things, regardless of your age or physical appearance. Be thankful for all that you are and all that you can be.
